Does anyone know the proper steps to add another computer to my wired uverse setup?

I want to add another internet computer in another room, it is wired. uverse. do i need a router to hookup from the modem, or can i hook it up from just the modem. i am just a beginner and in order t o ask att uverse is impossible to get through to them. thank you, bill.|||Yes you need a router. something like this Belkin wireless as they are quite cheap on line, you dont need to use the wireless side of it but it will come in handy for other stuff like laptops, xbox, ps3.


Plug the modem into the router input. and you will have 4 wired outputs on the back of the router to connect to all the computers . Make sure you buy the right kind of router, there a ADSL (phone line) and cable type routers.


This one is a cable type router. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc鈥?/a>|||I just recently did this myself. All you need to do is hook up your pc to your Uverse modem with a Ethernet cable. I had to go to Best Buy and buy a 50 ft Ethernet Cable, about $40.00, and it worked like a cham..:)
