Whats the difference between AT&T and Uverse?

I know their from at%26amp;t...but what is the difference? I'm moving into my new apartment in two months and i was told at%26amp;t is the best but which do i choose? Thanks|||uverse is atts fiber optic line. they are trying to phase out old phone lines with fiber optic. Uverse offers tv, phone, and high speed internet. phone line offers phone and dial up or dsl, if your not close enough to a dsl server your only option then would be to use dial up or a different cable provider, and they don't like to run two separate lines.
