How does AT&T Uverse TV work? Is it through the phone line - is it the coax cable line? ?

Is it through the phone line? Is it the coax cable line? Does anybody have experience with U-verse? Do you like it?|||It depends where you are.

Some places are doing fiber to the neighborhood (to a refrigerator sized box which all the neighborhood's copper phone lines converge), others with fiber to the home.

In the former case, you will get a DSL gateway modem/router, which the Set-Top boxes connect to via ethernet or coaxial cable.

In the latter case, the fiber gateway (usually installed on the outside of your home) directly provides the ethernet and/or coax connection, as well as telephone.

If coax is used, it uses a sort of coax networking, not traditional analog or digital cable.|||AT%26amp;T is switching their phone lines to optical lines. When they do then the TV signals are carried over the same lines as the phone.
